Abstract
This research is based on the author's observations regarding the role of the home industry tofu in Tropodo Village with all the existing efforts. The author takes the location in Tropodo Village because at that location there are many home industries for making tofu as a form of family business to increase family income. This research is field, data collection technique used in this research is triangulation technique. This study aims to determine the role of the tofu home industry in increasing family income, as well as the role of the Government in the home industry of tofu in Tropodo Village. From this study it was found that the home industry of making tofu in Tropodo Village is a business that almost all of them have been around for a long time. The home industry knows it has a role to play in helping family income, reducing the number of unemployed and improving people's welfare. The tofu home industry players feel the lack of support and the role of the Government in the tofu home industry in Tropodo Village, this is proven because of the absence of capital assistance, production equipment as well as capacity training and coaching that is felt by the tofu home industry players from the Government.
