Abstract
The Development ofDirect Torque Control (DTC) PWM Inverter for Induction Motor Drives using Radial Basis Function (RBF). This paper discuses the development of direct torque control (DTC) pulse width modulation (PWM) inverterfor induction motor (IM) drives. Inconventional DTC PWM inverter control scheme, determination of inverter voltage vectors are determine dbyerror offlux, error oftorque and offlux position in space vector. Error offlux and torque are obtained from difference between reference value and actual value. The error offlux and torque are controlled by using hysteresis comparators, whereas flux positions are divided to be 6 partitions ofangle sectors. Output of hysteresis comparators and sector position offlux are used to select inverter voltage vectors which are statedin switching table. In this paper, radial basis function (RBF) strategy is proposed to replace switching table in selecting of inverter voltage vectors. Testing of RBF control strategy uses the simulation program of MATLAB/SIMULINK. Simulation result shows that RBF control strategycan well replace switching table and determine inverter voltage vector.
