Abstract
This paper presents a parallel active filter which employed a three phase voltage source, inverter with six controllable switches, one capacitor in the ac side and three inductance in the ac side. The representative non-linear load is a diode bridge rectifier to generate load current harmonics. Parallel active filter is used to compensate current harmonics. Control strategy of active filter based on instantaneous power theory is introduced and theoretically analyzed From result of simulation show that by using active filter the THD of supply current decrease 17.2% from 26.9% to 9. 7 % and the PF increase 0.03 from 0.96 to 0.99, respectively
