Abstract
(RUU PKS) or the draft law on the elimination of sexual violence has recently become a topic of discussion. The author chpse the online media Kompas.com and JawaPos.com which aims to show how the two media, namely Kompas.com and JawaPos.com wrote news about the draft law on the elimination of sexual violence in the October – November 2021 edition regarding the news on the RUU PKS which has not yet been rafited, because some of the points contained in the draft law are still the pros and cons of society. In this study, the author uses the critical discourses analysis method of Teun A. Van Dijk model. In the application of this analysis is divided intro three namely; text, how news text about the RUU PKS are produced by the media and their journalists, namely Kompas.com and JawaPos.com : socual context, namely, how communication discourses can the be linked to existing conditions in society; socal cognition, which is abput the mental awareness of news makers in this study, the author uses a qualitative approach which aims to understand the phenomena that exist in the research subject as a whole by news descriptions in the media Kompas.com dan JawaPos.com the results of this study itself show that both Kompas.com dan JawaPos.com media in their news writing carry the pros and cons of the RUU PKS Bill and also the steps that will be taken by the government. In the writing itself, there is no bias or partiality of the media to the government or society which can be understood through the structure and selection of a neutral text in its reporting
