Abstract
Health workers in the pharmaceutical sector are pharmacists. In Government Regulation Number 51 of 2009 concerning Pharmaceutical Work, Article 21 paragraph (2) explains that a pharmacist is a person or profession that is allowed to provide medicine. The legal relationship between patients and pharmacists is based on Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection, namely pharmacists can act as business actors and patients, like consumers, are users of health service assistance. This study was conducted to analyze the legal liability of pharmacists who are negligent in giving drugs to consumers. The research method used in this study is a normative law research method which refers to Law No. 8/1999 on Consumer Protection, Law No. 23/1992 on Health, and its implementing regulations.
