Abstract

In a project activity, time and cost are important and are one of the benchmarks for the success of a project, in addition to cost and quality. This research study determines the optimal duration of the Jombang Hospital Inpatient Building construction project in order to obtain the most optimal cost and duration. Optimization is usually done to optimize existing resources and minimize risk but still get optimal results.The method used in the analysis of the time and cost of the Jombang Hospital Inpatient Building construction project is the CPM method.CPM(Critical Path Method)is a method using arrow diagrams to determine the critical path,so it is also called the critical path method. This analysis begins by studying the data that has been obtained from the contractor related to the duration and cost of project implementation, the next step is to create a CPM network diagram, then determine the project duration and project costs so that the most optimal duration and minimum costs are obtained.From the results of the CPM network image on the project resulted in 19 critical activities. After 40 acceleration trials were carried out by adding 3 hours of work (overtime), the Jombang Hospital Inpatient Building construction project obtained the most optimal cost for the 33rd acceleration. After analyzing several alternatives for accelerating the completion of work on the Jombang Hospital Inpatient Building construction project,the optimal duration was obtained by confining 13 days of project completion from 222days to 209 day swhich caused a change in the total cost which was previously Rp 8,515,500,003 reduced to Rp8,480,289,544.And obtained the value of cost efficiency 0.41%
