Abstract
Social security for workers is one of the human rights and rights as citizens. BPJS Ketenagakerjaan is a public legal entity that organizes social security programs for workers. This program aims to protect workers from risks that occur in the world of work and improve their welfare. By providing protection and overcoming socio-economic problems, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan plays a role in improving community welfare. The purpose of this study is to analyze the implementation and constraints of the employment social security (BPJS) claim system at PT Alpha Utama Mandiri Surabaya. In this study, the authors used a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Based on the results of research on the evaluation of the Employment social security claim system (BPJS), the implementation of the Old Age Security (JHT) claim system at BPJS Employment Gubeng Surabaya Branch is in accordance with applicable regulations. Participants who complete the required documents when submitting an Old Age Security (JHT) claim have expedited the claim process. Internal constraints in the Old Age Security (JHT) claim system at PT Alpha Utama Mandiri Surabaya are quite minimal, which is indicated by the lack of complaints from participants. Adequate understanding from participants has reduced internal constraints that may occur. However, there are external obstacles in the Old Age Security (JHT) claim system at BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Gubeng Surabaya Branch, such as inactive participant account numbers and difficulty contacting participants to confirm document validation via WhatsApp video call.
