Abstract
In a project, time and cost are interconnected. A project is said to be successful if it is able to complete it in the most optimal time and cost but does not reduce the quality of the project. In this study, planning for the optimal duration is needed in the Sombo Flat (Blok K) Development Project located in the Simolawang sub-district. district Simokerto. City of Surabaya in order to obtain the minimum cost.In analyzing the time and cost of the Sombo flat development project (Blok K), the author uses the PDM (Precedence Diagram Method) method. The PDM method is a project scheduling method where the activities are written in nodes which are generally rectangular in shape with arrows as a guide to link between the activities concerned. The stages that are passed in this analysis process begin with identifying problems and looking for secondary data in the form of budget plans and time schedules from the contractor, the next step is to study the data that has been obtained and determine the duration and cost of the project in order to get optimal duration and minimum costs. After analyzing using the PDM (Precedence Diagram Method) method, the duration of project completion which previously lasted 216 working days became 214 working days (down 0.92%). The direct cost of the project increased from Rp 18,223,588,310.09 in 216 working days to Rp 18,227,359,094.90 in 214 working days (up 0.021%). Indirect project costs decreased from Rp 2,028,641,223.24 in 216 working days to IDR 2,009,857,508.21 in 214 working days (decreased 0.93%). The total cost of the project after being accelerated for 2 days which was originally IDR 20,252,229,533.33 became IDR 20,237,216,603.11 (decreased 0.074%)
