Abstract

Simpang lengan 3 Cemengkalang Sidoarjo regency, precisely located in Sidoarjo sub-district which is an industrial area, cannot be separated from the movement of traffic in and out of goods and people. Simpang lengan 3 Cemengkalang is an access to the city center, Surabaya, and Mojokerto. This intersection often has congestion, especially at 08.00-17.00 WIB, it is possible that one of the causes is the management of traffic arrangements that are not in accordance with the demand for roads, so there needs to be an evaluation of traffic arrangements for further planned Signaling Interchanges. This evaluation is based on the Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines (PKJI 2014). The results of the evaluation of existing conditions were obtained Dj = 1.22; Delay = 171,494 sec/skr. It can be concluded that the degree of saturation (Dj) = 1.22 > 0.85 indicates that the Simpang Tiga Cemengkalang unsignaled intersection does not meet the requirements. Based on the planning results using alternative 1, the North Dj gain is 0.75 and in the other approach Dj > 0.85. Then alternative 2 is planned and get East Dj 1.01 and in another approach Dj <0.85. Furthermore, alternative 3 is planned with the result of North Dj 0.48, South Dj 0.57, East Dj 0.66; North Tundaan 14.73 sec/skr , South Tundaan 14.82 sec/skr, East Tundaan 14.89 sec/skr; North Queue Chance 18.82 m, South Queue Chance 41.87 m, East Queue Chance 48.73 m.
