Abstract

The waste problem has always been the main focus that still occurs in cities and regencies in Indonesia, including Sidoarjo Regency. The rapid population growth is one of the factors in the increasing piles of garbage in Sidoarjo Regency. The number of villages that are too large with a fairly long distance and a large area causes the transportation of waste cannot be carried out on time, causing a buildup of waste that interferes with residents' activities every day.The waste transportation system in Sidoarjo Regency has not been optimal so far because there are still several problems with garbage accumulation in several sub-districts. The factor causing this problem is because the location of the subdistrict in Sidoarjo Regency is quite far away so that there are delays and the amount of sector costs on the waste transportation schedule. In this study, an optimal route search system was created using the Breadth First Search and Depth First Search Algorithms as a search comparison to make it easier for Cleaning Service officers to carry out the process of transporting waste by considering the optimal destination location route according to input from users. The results of this study will display information comparing the total mileage and total volume traveled by the Breadth First Search and Depth First Search algorithms with different differences.
