Abstract

In general, road damage is caused by several factors, including vehicles loaded beyond capacity, excessive traffic volume, and drainage that does not meet needs. To overcome road damage, re-planning is carried out in the form of flexible pavement or rigid pavement. The Tulangan – Larangan Road section, Tulangan District, Sidoarjo Regency, is included in the local road with a length of 8.687 km in the form of a road width of 4 – 5 m in the form of an asphalt road (flexible pavement) and without drainage channels. Obtained a CBR value of 1.87% <6%, it is necessary to strengthen the base soil, for roads that need widening (berms). The material used in the class B aggregate design is 200 mm thick. On the Tulangan - Prohibition Road section, a rigid pavement design was also determined in the form of Fs 4.5 Mpa cement concrete material with a thickness of 200 mm, a working floor with a thin concrete foundation layer with a thickness of 100 mm. With the road shoulder in the form of concrete pavement with a thickness of 150 mm with an aggregate base layer A and an aggregate base layer B. Obtaining a bend curve length (Lc) on the horizontal alignment Lc > 25, a Spiral – Circle – Spiral (S-CS) curve is planned. The dimensions of the drainage channel used are u-ditch 60.80 – 120 cm with 20 ton axles. The markings used are white except for the center line markings that divide traffic directions. Lighting uses PJUs every 50 meters there are PJU poles from STA 0+000 to 8+687 totaling 173 single PJU poles. There are several warning signs, including at STA points 0+050, 0+675, 2+350, 0+375, 6+000, 6+800, 1+125, 1+800, 2+200, 1+700 and 1 +850, 6+400.
