Abstract
The focus of this research is on the use of Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP) as an additional material for Hot Rolled Sheet-Wearing Course (HRS-WC) road pavement. Researchers use the mix design method. In this study, a case study was conducted on Jalan Totok Kerot, Temenggungan, Bakung Temenggung, Balongbendo District, Sidoarjo Regency. This study was conducted by analyzing the RAP type of Asphalt Concrete-Wearing Course (AC-WC) which will be substituted with new material. In this study, testing of RAP Materials and New Materials such as aggregates (coarse, fine, filler) was carried out and testing of mixtures using the Marshall test. This study aims to determine the asphalt content and the appropriate type of aggregate to obtain the optimum composition in accordance with the gradation of combined aggregates in the General Specification of Highways 2010 (Revision 3). The results of extraction testing on RAP Material found asphalt content of 4,4%. The use of Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP) as a partial replacement of the Main Material in the Hot Rolled Sheet-Wearing Course (HRS-WC) mixture with the addition of 0-5mm Fine Aggregate and 60/70 pen oil asphalt gets an Optimum Asphalt Content of 4,9%. The mixture used in this study was a ratio of 60% Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP) and 40% Fine Aggregate 0-5mm. Results from the Marshall Test with Optimum Asphalt Content 4,9% found Stability 840,33 kg, Flow melt 3,30mm, VIM 4,.03%, VMA 18,03%, VFA 77,63% and Marshall Quotient 254,98 kg/mm.
