Abstract

In 2023, Brawijaya University will build the Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES) building at Brawijaya University Campus 2, this building is a new faculty facility that was created in 2021. Based on data obtained from the contractor, the project implementation lasted 245 days with a total cost of Rp. IDR 36,653,132,882. Then this data is used to find the optimum duration and costs. The method used to find the optimum duration is the Critical Path Method (CPM), which is a method that has several series of critical activities. Critical activities are the activities that determine the most time and can be selected for acceleration. The steps taken are collecting data then forming a Network Diagram then calculating the duration and costs, after that calculating the acceleration according to critical activities. Acceleration was carried out by adding additional workers, activities that were accelerated were the river stone masonry work being accelerated by 4 days and a completion time of 241 days was obtained with a total cost of Rp. 36,641,090,827, the paving work was accelerated by 3 days and a completion time of 238 days was obtained with a total cost of Rp. 36,632,653,377, CCTV data & IP work accelerated by 2 days. Obtained a completion time of 236 days with a total cost of Rp. 36,628,290,489, the staircase structure work was accelerated by 3 days and a completion time of 233 days was obtained with a total cost of Rp. 36,623,708,387, other work was accelerated by 3 days and a completion time of 230 days was obtained with a total cost of Rp. 36,628,348,414. Then a graph is created that displays the optimum duration and costs. The optimum duration obtained was 233 days with a total cost of Rp. 36,623,708,387, the difference with the total initial cost is Rp. 29,424,495.
