Abstract

UU no.38 of 2004 article 8 on roads, grouped by function, class, manager and traffic volume planning. Margomulyo Highway as one of the connecting roads in the city of Surabaya that goes to Gresik or to Lamongan, Tuban, Bojonegoro and other cities. The characteristics of the length of the Margomulyo Toll Road are 3.3 kilometers and 22 meters width, with six lane types of divided two-way urban roads (6 / 2D). Some road segments with a lane width of 9.75 meters, consisting of 3 lanes or an average lane width of 3.25 m, some access roads have narrowed. Based on land use, this area is included in many warehousing areas, so many vehicles provide transportation services between cities, islands and countries. In addition, the use of residential land, shop houses, railroad crossings and access in and out of the Tandes Toll to the city of Surabaya and to Gresik. This condition has the potential to delay traffic, even traffic jams. In this final project, a performance evaluation is carried out on the Margomulyo road, and then a performance evaluation on the road is carried out by looking at the LOS value. The method used is based on PKJI (2014). From our evaluation we get the actual conditions of LOS E and F ratings for segment 1, LOS E and F for segment 2, LOS E and F for segment 3. During peak hours in the morning, it occurs at 08: 15-09: 15 from east to west, and for the evening the peak hours occur from 16:00 to 17:00 from west to east. Furthermore, geometry engineering is done by increasing the width of the track and shoulders, from evaluations obtained by LOS E and F for segment 1, LOS E and F for segment 2, LOS E and F for segment 3.
