Abstract

Rain or bad weather has become a major problem for people who have clothespins. Usually, clothes that are dried in the sun are often left traveling, so they don't have time to lift them when it rains or it is already night. To solve the problem of lifting the clothesline when it rains and it is already night, it is necessary to have an automatic control system by making an automatic clothesline driver. By designing all tools ranging from a light dependent resistor (LDR) sensor as a sun light detector, a raindrop sensor as a rainwater detector, a DC motor as a driving force, and the Arduino nano as the brain of the command maker of the tool, an automatic clothesline can be made to help work. in lifting clothes when it rains. From the results of testing the tools that have been designed. The tool works every time the sensor will read the surrounding weather, such as when the sensor does not detect light, the Arduino will translate the surroundings as cloudy / dark, so the DC motor will pull the clothesline into the house. When the LDR sensor detects sunlight, the Arduino will interpret the weather around the heat, the clothesline will automatically come out. Meanwhile, when the water sensor detects raindrops it will be interpreted by Arduino as rainy weather then the DC motor will pull the clothesline inside. From the results of these tests, the activator for automatic clothes drying based on Arduino nano has worked as expected and has become a solution for lifting clothes when it rains or it is late at night.
