Abstract

In the era of increasingly advanced information technology, many street lighting manufacturers are competing to innovate in the IOT field to optimize the use of PJU lamps. Where currently many companies are implementing online lamp monitoring using the website. However, there are still many issues regarding the lack of efficiency in terms of costs. This happens because many PJUs with the IOT system are stand alone, where 1 lamp is equipped with 1 cellular modem, which means that each PJU lamp will be charged a subscription fee. You can imagine if 100 PJUs are installed on a road, then the user or users will pay for 100 PJUs. It's another case if we model the data transmission system between PJUs like a network topology, where between PJUs will communicate using RF devices, and only the main PJU lights will be equipped with a modem for online data transmission. Then the subscription fee that will be borne by the user or users is only for the main PJU lights. With this case study, the authors utilize the WSN system for the process of communication and sending data between PJU and the internet. ESP32 as a microcontroller and replacement for cellular network modules, EBYTE LORA E220 as a communication device between PJUs, and PZEM004T as a sensor for electrical quantities, and Thingspeak as a website for displaying PJU data
