Abstract
The Internet as a digital medium has offered a variety of conveniences as the times have evolved. Social media such as Instagram is often used by someone as a place to find and share information. One of the information spread on social media is information about the covid-19 vaccine. This makes irresponsible individuals spread hoax information. On the one hand, people trust this information. therefore, communication science students who will later plunge into the media world also need to have good media literacy skills. This study discusses media literacy for instagram account activity @kemenkominfo to overcome the problem of covid-19 vaccine hoaxes. This study used qualitative analysis using the netnography method. Data collection is done by downloading and saving posts on @kemenkominfo Instagram account. The purpose of this study is to analyze media literacy on the activity of instagram accounts @kemenkominfo to overcome the problem of covid-19 vaccine hoaxes. The results of the study obtained that the Instagram account @kemenkominfo is in accordance with Media Literacy in providing information about matters related to the covid-19 vaccine and the information provided is also aimed at tackling the problem of the Covid-19 vaccine hoax. But it actually got some unfavorable responses from the public which can be seen from some comments on instagram account posts @kemenkominfo. Therefore, it can be said that people do not understand the importance of media literacy in using social media.
