Abstract

Firm value is an important factor for a company because company value reflects the performance of a company. Firm value can be seen from the company's financial reports by analyzing the financial statements. To measure the value of the company can be done by using an analytical tool in the form of financial ratios. This study aims to determine and examine the effect of profitability (return on equity) and leverage (debt to equity ratio) on firm value (price book value). This research is a quantitative study with a population of food and beverage companies listed on the IDX for the 2017-2021 period, then purposive sampling was carried out to obtain 11 company samples. This study uses secondary data in the form of annual financial reports and is processed using the SPSS 25 application. This study uses descriptive statistical analysis test tools, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, F tests, and t tests. The results of the F test indicate that ROE and DER have a simultaneous and significant effect on firm value (PBV) and the results of the t test indicate that ROE and DER have a positive effect on firm value (PBV).
