Abstract

In Panduan Teknis Rekayasa Keselamatan Jalan, 2012, the accident on an aircraft, a ship, a train, motorcycle, and other means of transportation is described as dangerous and / or threatening to human safety. In terms of the road infrastructure, some accidents happen because of the geometry, the damage, the absence of traffic signs, street lighting, and the lack of road signs. Industrial area in the road bypass Lingkar Timur Sidoarjo District lane was serviced by many different types and characteristics of vehicles that have the potential to cause a traffic accident in the area. The characteristics of the traffic accident on the road bypass Lingkar Timur Sidoarjo District for the last three years (2020 s/d 2022) based on locations per segment, the highest accidents occurred in segment 2 with a total number of 71 accident, an accident based on time from 05.01 to 09.00 AM with a total number of 46 accident, the accident based on the highest victim's class, is a minor injury with a total number of 197 victims, an accident based on the highest day of Wednesday with a total of 42 accident, accidents based on the highest gender are men, with a total of 163, an accident based on the highest age of 19 to 25 years of age with a total of 62 victims, and accidents based on the highest type of vehicle are motorcycle with a total number of 193. Accidental analysis on the road bypass Lingkar Timur Sidoarjo District for the last three years (2020 s/d 2022) based on the method of Equivalent Accident Number (EAN) and Upper Control Limit (UCL) values that exceed the highest UCL limit occur in segment 2 years 2021 with EAN = 111 and UCL = 82, and in segment 2 years 2020 with EAN = 99 and the value of UCL = 80.
