Abstract

University is a place for academics to carry out learning and research activities for lecturers and students. To support these activities, the existence of an internet network in the Bhayangkara University Surabaya is a necessity. Mikrotik routerOS is a Linux-based operating system and has one feature, namely hotspot. In addition, the hotspot feature on the Mikrotik router can be integrated with an external Radius Server. Mikrotik routerOS also provides API facilities where the API can function as monitoring on Mikrotik routers. Bhayangkara University Surabaya does not have good internet facilities yet. This problem can be handled by user management hotspot using Remote Authentication Dial In User Service (RADIUS). Therefore, the focus of this research is on user management using the Radius Server and monitoring user hotspots on a centralized system and then displaying it on a web-based application with the Mikrotik Application Programming Interface (API), so that this application can make it easier to monitor activities contained in an application network. From 30 trials with 3 different profiles, the average experimental results from this study were student profiles download/upload 4.913 Mbps / 4.16 Mbps, lecturer profiles download/upload 6.824 Mbps / 6.755 Mbps, quota profiles download/upload 84.2 Mbps / 92.52 Mbps .
